Cordless vs corded
| Aspect | Cordless (battery) | Corded (mains) |
|---|---|---|
| Mobility | No cable; suits ships, heights, field work | Needs a socket or generator |
| Continuous power | Limited by battery capacity (Ah) | Constant while powered |
| Best for | Drills, impact drivers/wrenches, light grinding, breakers | Chop saws, heavy cutting, fixed workshop work |
| Upfront cost | Higher (tool + battery + charger) | Lower per unit |
Choosing tips
- Impact drivers for screws and small bolts; impact wrenches (1/2" or 3/4") for nuts and structural bolts.
- SDS-Plus rotary hammers for concrete; breakers/demolition hammers for breaking out.
- Choose bare tool versions if the crew already owns batteries on the same platform.
- For tightening to spec, follow up with a torque wrench.

FAQ
Power Tools FAQ
Can’t find the answer? Contact our team — we reply the same business day.
Is cordless or corded better?
Cordless wins on mobility and safety (no trailing cables), especially on ships and sites. Corded suits heavy continuous use such as chop saws in a workshop.
What is the difference between an impact driver and an impact wrench?
An impact driver uses a 1/4" hex holder for screws and small bolts. An impact wrench uses a 1/2" or 3/4" square drive and much higher torque for nuts and structural bolts.
Are Makita and DeWALT batteries interchangeable?
No. Each brand uses its own battery platform, so it is best for one crew to stick to one platform and share batteries and chargers.
What does "bare tool" mean?
Bare tool means the tool body only, without battery or charger. It saves cost if you already own batteries on the same platform.
Are prices shown on the website?
Prices are given on request (RFQ) because they depend on quantity, stock and delivery time. Send your list via WhatsApp or the quote form and our team replies with pricing and availability.
Is there a warranty?
Warranty follows each brand and distribution channel terms. Warranty details are stated on the quote.
